traveling the road

Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, Lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6

Life has a way of tossing us around a bit, doesn’t it? Weathering the seasons can leave us feeling overwhelmed, beat up, and like we can’t hang on much longer. Navigating through the chaos requires tenacity and a strength we don’t always feel we possess, but 2 Corinthians 12:9a tells us “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”.

We don’t always know which way to go, and sometimes we think we know and we are wrong!  The roads we pick can lead us down road construction, detours, and dead ends! For those of us who are navigationally challenged, it is a blessing to have a GPS that we can tap the address into and it will guide us on our journey.  The Bible is God’s Positional System.  Our spiritual GPS, providing everything we need to find our way on this crazy journey called life. So find some encouragement in knowing that you don’t have to have it all figured out. If we fix our eyes on him, he will make our path straight.

Thanks for joining me for the ride! As we make our way through some mud and muck, and seek Him, we will find joy in the journey.  We will pick up some treasure and find faith to believe in our impossibles. God is so good at that!  He reveals himself when we seek him, and like any good dad he desires to be with us.  Our Father wants to walk the road with us, and protect us from the things we find along the way that do us harm.  Like our earthly dads, God wants to cheer for us from the stands and weep with us over losses. He is present. So fasten your seatbelt and hold on tight. This is the ride of our life.  Let the adventure begin!
